Who wears short shorts? YOU. And even if you didn’t before, now you have a reason.
That’s right, back in its third year, it’s time for the pivotal short shorts ride: the definitive ride of 30 Days of Biking, if you ask us.
QBG & 30 Days wanna see your ass in shorts. Short shorts. The shortest shorts possible. Make that the most tightest and brightest shorts as well. We want to see a parade of colorful canopies on your butt cheeks throughout the streets of the Twins. It’s not a party until your pockets are peeking out the bottoms and there is at least one accidental genital exposure.
Meet us at Brackett Park, between the baseball diamonds just off of the Greenway, a tad west of 38th Ave. We will depart around 5:30pm.
As per usual, this ride will end at ARTCRANK, a whimsical art opening featuring bike-themed prints by local art types. The show is FREE! For more info, visit ARTCRANK.com. This year's opening will be at Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art in the Warehouse District, so the route will likely include some greenway, some lakes and some downtown scenes.
But people. We’re serious about the shorts. Think you're not hot in short shorts? YOU'RE WRONG. Think you’ll be cold in those shorts? You won’t. They don’t call ‘em HOT PANTS for nothing. Even so, throw some fishnets under those suckers or something. Just put. On. the shorts. Special QBG prize for the SHORTEST SHORTS!
If you don't have any hot pants (GURL?!?!) or want to match, our friends at Panda Panda will be printing special limited edition hot pink hot pants with QBG on the seat. SIT ON IT! We will have a limited number of hottpantz for sale at the event.

That’s ok. We’ll give you a second chance for cycle-sexiness this March.
Saturday’s forecast calls for sun, 77 degrees, and you. Yes you.
It’s St. Patrick’s day which means booze for some. But who needs booze when you have a bike? At any rate, we will loosely acknowledge the calendar date with a pot. Of gold. Lamé. So put on your favorite pair of gold pants (or shorts??) and cycle on down.
Maybe you don’t have gold. Or lamé. Or maybe you have gold that’s not lamé. No lamé? A-OK. If it’s sparkly, shiny, spandex, hott, fluorescent, iridescent, glittery, sequined and/or gay, you should wear it.
Or wear nothing at all. Who cares?!?
Bring your body and your bike. Meet at the lawn outside the Midtown Freewheel on the Greenway, just West of the 10th/11th Ave exits.
Roll out time will be 5-ish. Keep your calendar clear through about 7pm to maximize the exertion on your gams. Bring your little black book for recording the numbers of the hott hotties you will meet along the way.
As always, route will depend on who shows up; I’m thinking going past that Irish bar on Nicollet is a must. Treasure trails between the greenway and there will be trampled by our tires.

Climatic QBG Group Ride to screening of Bike Smut 2012 :: Friday, March 2 :: Launch from Sunrise Cyclery at 7pm
It's winter so QBG has had ourselves a little bit of a dry spell. Well, no longer. We bring you the climactic resurrection of springtime QBG rides this Friday, March 2nd with a trip to BIKE PORN!
Yes, it is the beginning of March, and it is also time to have a screenin...g of BIKE PORN 2012. Though not the official 2012 BP line-up, these films have been sent directly from the Reverend Phil himself to our friends at Wheel Sexy. What's even Wheel Sexier is that this titillating show will not only feature film, but also SEXY LIVE PERFORMANCES!
And that's not even the creamy filling in the gluten-free, vegan cupcake! The show has NO COVER! But it is a fundraiser, so please, carefully insert a full fist of change into that donation box whenever possible. Be sure to prep with lots of lube.
Our ride will launch promptly at 7pm from the lot behind Sunrise Cyclery on Lake and Bryant and end at the venue. Our route will depend on how many people show up and the skill level/stamina of the group.
